I have come across an event thatat puts DGCA in a dock.
On December 4 & December 5 2007, Alliance air ( now a part of Air India Express) conducted DGCA Technical training and subsequent examination
The training was imparted by the airline employees, but strangely enough even the test was conducted by the airline official – persons named Mr VK Ginotra & Marbel Malhotra without any DGCA supervision
In case the its perfectly lawful then whats the requirement of DGCA? If the airline can conduct themselves they don’t need a nodal watch agency and we as tax payers can save some money, else at least DGCA can ensure that only trained hands take care of passenger care and safety at thousand of feet above ground.
I would hope an immediate action will be taken against those involved in this laxity for the sake of innocent passengers that take on to the skies in hope of safe journey.

it is not shocking because sometime bak dgca had been looking for someone/organisation to conduct examinations for dgca... it seems the idea was to rope in airlines for simplifying the under table dealing.
