Disastrous Management
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Another natural mishap …..no timely rescue…ill equipped search & rescue teams
This time in Himanchal Pradesh. In India we have grown accustomed to being self confidence- for in need there is certainly no government organization that is at our side.
Another point that surprises me is the fact its always the last Indian to suffer from such a disaster. This time death came calling for penniless labors .The super cyclone of Orissa made exceptions to the families of District Administration - The Bhopal Gas leak never effected any of MP’s elite. Was it they breath different air ?Or is it something that’s faster than a bullet and stronger than a speeding locomotive???
Well for all practical considerations second option seems better ! well its no superman that we are talking about .its the government machinery.
Though ineffective in any large scale disaster management is well informed to protected its own vested interests. What I mean to say becomes more evident from following fact- Personal security of Chief minister of UP comprises of more than 100 personnel…the search for 100 missing labors after a cloud burst employs 450 men mostly from state police and homeguards. These men are ill equipped have almost no training for mountain climbing and dont have know how about the most basic first aid techniques.
To those demanding common civil court my question is first fill in your obligations under article 14 of constitution – Give us a right to live. Please…help us survive when the gods are angry with us.
